(The Gift of Wisdom)

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. –James 1:5 NIV
When God created the world, the wealthiest men we may know were Adam and Eve.
God executed a plan and made it a reality when He created the world. The first humans who received God’s blessings were Adam and Eve. When God held the world in His hands, Adam and Eve became the protector of the Garden of Eden.
The Fall began when Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit in the forbidden tree because the devil tempted them.
We have often failed to obey God, but He is generous in giving us the desires of our hearts without finding fault.
In the Garden of Eden, up to this present day, what humankind lacks is contentment. Adam and Eve were given everything they could need and more. They had the world because God gave it freely to them. Still, they disobey God by consuming the forbidden fruit.
However, even in modern times, when given earthly things, even if they are well-provided, they still want more. When bestowed with Spiritual gifts, there is a tendency to use them for their selfish gain or inappropriately.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” –Genesis 1:26 NIV
God has blessed humankind with so much favor. Still, unfortunately, some choose to use this to their selfish benefit, causing great harm and suffering to others.
We usually associate wealth with earthly things, but is that all there is to it?
True riches in life are not measured by material possessions, which moths and vermin destroy. Still, instead, it is found in Christ, the hidden mystery kept for ages revealed to us, the glorious riches who is Jesus, which gives a new beginning.
When we encounter Jesus and start a relationship with Him, we will experience a true richness, a fulfillment that this world cannot attain. It includes joy in contentedness!
Wealthy is a man who is rich in happiness and satisfaction!
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! –Romans 11:33a NIV
Heavenly riches are the wisdom and knowledge no one can ever take away from you. The spiritual gifts help you grow and evolve as a person.
Indeed, God declared His plans for us to “prosper us” (Jeremiah 29:11), but how do we view it?
Thinking of prosperity as an earthly standard will undoubtedly mold us in how the world works. However, if we consider prosperity through the lens of God’s word, as it meant to “prosper us,” it will greatly shape our character and moral values in how we view wealth.
Wealthy is a man who always has the zeal and spiritual fervor to serve the Lord. His heart is steadfast in pursuit of God.

Adam and Eve were the first to receive God’s blessings and spiritual gifts. They are entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of the Earth. As human beings, we also have the opportunity to distinguish earthly wealth and spiritual riches.
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. –Matthew 6:20-21 NIV
Our heart knows exactly what it wants. We cannot be the owner of two different treasures. We cannot love God and the world at the same time because both have other ways to prosper someone. Either you will love only God, or you will worship His creation.
We cannot serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24b).
Ask the Holy Spirit for heavenly riches such as knowledge and wisdom, for everyone who asks receives.
God knows what you need before you ask Him. The Lord is all-knowing and all-powerful. He will supply all your needs in the best way possible.
You are blessedly rich in God’s love beyond measure.
