The book of Galatians mentions the fruit of the Spirit’s kindness. Kindness has the most profound connection with love among all traits in the fruit of the Spirit because of its humility. It is one character you will never forget someone you showed kindness to. Kindness is a package of steadfast love, generosity, loyalty, acceptance, and patience. Any relationship will not work if not cultivated with kindness and rooted love from Jesus. When you receive the new creation the Lord has given you, kindness is the starter kit in your new identity, then the fruit of the Spirit will follow. The warm love of kindness provides hope to anyone bestowed by it. It makes someone happy; it makes someone feel loved and appreciated. Being kind to someone has no limit; it is generous. It is the best response to any form of betrayal and oppression. When you learn to accept what life throws you, it will give birth to kindness that no matter how bitter it is, you will always choose to be kind. The best response to hate and bitterness is kindness. It produces unwavering love. God imprinted the character on us as a follower of Jesus. He never fails to show kindness to all. One of the best traits God engraved in our hearts is through our parents because they show compassion even during anger. They will always love you by being kind regardless of the circumstances. We got this from God, who redeems us through kindness and forgiveness. How faithful and kind God is by not remembering our sins anymore when we confess it to Him (Isaiah 43:25).
Ephesians 4:32 NIV –” And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.”
Rooted kindness from Jesus never takes revenge but surrenders one’s heart to the Lord. God sees everything, and vengeance is His. He will repay (Romans 12:19 NIV); you just need to be still and pray with all your heart. Kindness is contagious even in tough times. The Lord never takes for granted a kind heart who always gives it all, no matter how hurtful it gets.
“Have courage and be kind. Where there is kindness, there is goodness, and where there is goodness, there is magic.” –Cinderella, Walt Disney
