For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. –Romans 6:23 NIV
When facing tremendous trials in life, it is unavoidable to self-pity, to have a cold heart, or, much worse, to ask God if He exists.
Out of our emotions and suffering in life, we sometimes find it difficult to discern the thoughts we entertain in our minds.
These thoughts lose our ability to see the big picture on the other side. Because of our consecutive problems, positivity seems hard to find.
But the Apostle Paul said in Romans 5:3, “Not only so, but we also glorify in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance.”
Now, the question is, how possible is it to be content and take pleasure in unwanted circumstances?
The answer is—Jesus.
When the Father God gave His Only Son as a ransom for our sins, God gave us the gift of freedom and eternal life.
When we pray and read the Bible, we open our hearts to Jesus and His powerful teachings in life. When the Holy Spirit starts to speak in your heart, there is an unexplainable feeling and bond that is only visible between you and God. The Holy Spirit will teach you what is good for you when you face enormous challenges in life.
God will be truthful to you. He will not sugarcoat anything, but the Spirit of God will teach you with the proper discernment and boldness.
Suffering has a lot of faces. It could be anxiety, depression, temptation, financial and health problems, death, broken relationships, etc. In the middle of hardships, the enemy is also present to provoke you to harm yourself and others.
We need a Christ-centered life because the Holy Spirit within you is alive and active. He is greater than the one in the world (1 John 4:4).
Once we encounter Jesus, we will learn to endure trials in life and accept defeat, failures, and other things that bring pain. Above all, we will learn to be happy even if our heart is broken because of the hope that Jesus gives.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. —Psalms 139:14 NIV
Our life is precious because God chooses us to receive this. All of us have been free to choose what we will do in our lives. Jesus never condemned anyone, so don’t listen to the enemy’s lies by criticizing yourself.

If you decide goodness, good things will follow your way even in difficult situations; you have peace. But on the other hand, if we choose to listen to the enemy, we will be trapped by its bait. It will cause us distraction, confusion, harm, and temptation. It will accuse us because we choose to be in step with the enemy.
You are beautifully knit in your mother’s womb. He knew you well because God created you (Psalm 139:13). Your life is valuable and worthy. That is how Jesus sees you.
The next time the enemy distracts you by saying you are not loved and worthy, you are good for nothing or a failure, you will never change and not be forgiven, all you need to do is kneel to God in humbleness and prayer. Invite the Holy Spirit’s presence, who gives inner peace, and He will surround you with His undying love and comfort. The enemy will surely flee away from you.
The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. –1 John 4:4b NIV
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. –Matthew 7:7 NIV
Jesus died for you, so live for Him.
