If there’s someone worthy to be called faithful without any errors, it is the Lord Almighty.
In my previous blog, we discussed God’s faithfulness and undeniable love and mercy towards us. We understand how Jesus faithfully died on the cross, obedient to the point of death, because of His steadfast love for us. We have also learned that the Lord keeps His covenant secure because when He promises, He is faithful and just to accomplish it for us. God’s rooted in love character of faithfulness endured all generations. He is the everlasting God who never grows tired or weary; no one can perceive His understanding.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. –Isaiah 40:28 NIV
And because of His ability to understand deeply, His loyalty goes beyond His character as a sovereign God. There is a comprehensive variety of God’s faithfulness written in the Bible, but we will discuss a few about the wholeness of God’s faithfulness.
Faithful in forgiveness
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. –1 John 1:9 NIV
The Lord never ceases to give all His understanding in all concerns of our life. If we confess our sins truthfully to Him and repent, God will forgive us, direct our decision-making to protect us and be aligned with His good and perfect will.
Faithful in controlling things
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. –1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
Though obstacles will come our way through temptation, God will never let us astray. He will always make a way to hinder any temptation targeting us, only if we submit to Him wholeheartedly without wavering.
He is faithful in the Lordship of Jesus.
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. –1 Corinthians 1:9 NIV
God brought us all together because of His Son, whom He accomplished His plans to give us the authority of full adoption through Jesus Christ according to the purpose of His will.
Faithful in protection
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. –2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV
We can assure our future to God because if anything doesn’t work out, we know that God is protecting us in what will come. If we submit our cares to God, He will not let evil cross our path. He always has a way out.
Faithful in words and actions
The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. –1 Thessalonians 5:24 NIV
Everything God said in the Bible is inerrant and infallible, meaning no errors and trustworthy. It is proven that God has a word of honor. He does what He says.
Faithful in keeping His promises
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. –Deuteronomy 7:9 NIV
Coming to the Lord in truth and trusting Him gives us a new perspective on how we view life. Once we encounter the Holy Spirit, we will experience unexplainable situations that will happen in our lives. Wisdom and knowledge will increase, and miracles are evident because He keeps His promise to those who love Him and keep His commandments.
Faithful in all generations
Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures. –Psalms 119:90 NIV
The Lord has the most profound understanding and mercy then and now. He is an unchanging God who gives covenants and fulfills promises to His children up to this present time. He created the world because His plans have been good since the beginning, and those who love Him obey Him.

The faithful character of the Lord is contagious to those who abide in Him. They are thirsty to have the same traits God has because the power of the Holy Spirit renews them. No one can ever be faithful and loyal in the likeness of God, but we can practice to comply with His faithfulness with a willing and grateful heart.
Be faithful to God and keep a steadfast heart.
