Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV
When we think about love and faith, who do we think first? Perhaps our family or someone very close in our hearts. Yes, they are. When we receive the love they give us, we feel very appreciated, but what if one day they fail to provide the love we expect? The love that we are used to get from them? Would we view them as unfaithful, or would we put in our hearts that they love us less?
Only One could give us steadfast love no matter who we are or what we have done as long as we come near Him in truth, acceptance, and repentance. In Hebrews 13:8 NIV, “Jesus is the same yesterday, and today and forever.” Being the same means unchanging. When someone never changes in everything they do, it is faithfulness.
Even if we go to the ends of the world, we will never find anyone who is unwavering, without a stain of sin and failure, but Only Jesus. He was sacrificed by the Father to pay the price that should be on us on the cross. Jesus accomplished it because of His rooted love for us established in faithfulness. The Lord remains faithful even if we are faithless. He is the solid standing wall of every broken wall we have. In our disobedience, He never fails (2 Timothy 2:13a). His faithfulness surpasses this world and reaches the skies (Psalms 36:5b). The love of Jesus exceeds all understanding.

The Spirit of God touches our hearts to abide by His word so we can receive the gift of sharing the gospel with others. The fruit of God’s character is in the wholeness of His love. Pieces knit the steadfast love we carry in our hearts because of His faithfulness. He is the One who forgives without finding fault because He is faithful. He gives mercy even if we don’t deserve it. It comes new every morning and endures until the end. No one deserves to be called good and faithful, Only Jesus.
We fall short of the glory of God; still, He loves us the same. He fulfills all His promises to us because He is a promise keeper. We can be assured to trust God in all circumstances because He keeps His covenant accomplished then and now up to the next generations with those who love Him and keep His commands.
In the days of disbelief, God is our home.
